All items following were used to get MRTG to get traffic stats out of my Sonicwall Pro100 Firewall (unlimited license). The firmware and MIBs should apply to most SonicWall devices. The MRTG .cfg file is for reference only. I have changed all IPs, domains, SNMP community names, and email addresses to either all stars (******) or bogus information. The majority of the information should work on another Pro100, though you'll need to change a few things for your environment.

Caution: Sonicwall used to have a policy of giving out firmware updates freely for any registered product. It seems that starting with firmware release 6.4.x.x that policy has now changed such that to get new firmware(s) and other driver updates (VPN client software, etc. as well) you must have a valid, paid-for support contract. Unfortunately for SonicWall, they changed this policy after my purchase of a Pro100 firewall and without notifying us of their policy change (policy changes of this sort typically apply to products sold after the policy change date). Further, a firmware update is only needed in the event of a piece of hardware shipping with faulty or exploitable code. In the specific case of the 6.4.2.0 firmware release, Sonicwall resolves certain SNMP issues. However, Sonicwall advertised previously that SNMP was fully supported with older firmwares. This is tatamount to false advertising. It is my belief that software/firmware/code updates and bugfixes/patches should be made freely available. Vendors such as Microsoft, Sun, Compaq-HP, Dell, & Cisco seem to agree as new firmwares and drivers are freely distributed on their websites. These vendors and their resellers only charge when you need to talk to someone on the phone or need onsite support. They do not charge you to get updates that will make your hardware work correctly and/or more securely. SonicWall should have a similar policy and only refuse free updates for end-of-lifed products.
